The publication captures the stories, wisdom, and living traditions of Indigenous communities, highlighting how their customary laws and indigenous systems of dispute resolution continue to promote peace, harmony, and unity. More than a collection of narratives and photographs, the book serves as a lasting testament to the invaluable cultural knowledge passed down through generations and the enduring role of Indigenous elders and community leaders in safeguarding their heritage.
The ceremonial unveiling was led by DILG Ilocos Sur Provincial Director Randy S. Dela Rosa, together with the Provincial Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR), members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, representatives from the academe, the Department of Justice (DOJ), partner agencies, and participating local government units (LGUs)โreflecting a shared commitment to honoring Indigenous knowledge and strengthening collaboration in cultural preservation.
